Environmental Policy, Economics and Management Department
Although climate change, environmental pollution and increase in temperature are globally concerned issues, every country has its own responsibility in addressing these issues to reduce environmental impacts. The good and safe environment will not be achievable unless a country has concrete policies for its environmental conservation. In setting policies, the socio-economic impacts of the human beings are also not negligible. Human beings have the main responsibility for deteriorating the environmental qualities and their awareness on environmental conservation and management, and natural resource management is critical in developing policies to reduce environmental and socio-economic impacts. Action must follow the policies to achieve the goals of environmental conservation and management. The Department shall provide courses based on theories and field-works for the development of human resources needed in developing environmental policies and assessing the environmental and socio-economic impacts.
